There was a season in my life when ministry felt more like a financial battlefield than a spiritual assignment.

I remember standing before the congregation one Sunday, passionately preaching about faith and God’s provision — but deep down, I was silently battling my own fears. Rent was due. School fees were hanging over my head. My phone had become a source of anxiety because it rang more for urgent bills than testimonies.

I had zeal for God, but zero financial rest.

And like many pastors I know, I felt stuck. Tithes were inconsistent. Offerings barely covered the generator fuel. And every month, I’d quietly ask, “Lord, is this really how You want your servant to live?”
